Thornleigh Community Baptist Church has had a relationship with Baptist Financial Services since 1998.
Baptist Financial Services funded the construction of our Auditorium with a loan of $1,000,000.
This loan was reduced at an advanced rate and when the opportunity arose to purchase 11a Duffy Avenue Thornleigh a property adjacent to 15-17 Duffy Avenue Thornleigh, our auditorium, Baptist Financial Services funded that purchase.
This loan was also reduced at an advanced rate and when the opportunity arose to purchase 3 Hall Avenue Thornleigh Baptist Financial Services again funded that purchase with a loan of $2,500,000.
It is important to note that the decision made by BFS was swift and as a measure of their efficiency they convened a special Board Meeting.
The service provided by Wolfgang Ziegelmeir and Baptist Financial Services was prompt, efficient and most professional.
The experience working with BFS has been excellent.
Thornleigh Community Baptist Church started in a garage in Duffy Avenue Thornleigh with approximately twenty worshipers.
The numbers grew and the Church purchased a property in The Esplanade Thornleigh. A number of the congregation then set about building the original Church. The number of worshipers grew and so TCBC became a presence in our community.
It is important to note that this building is now our Activity Centre catering for youth groups, Boy’s Brigade, Girls Brigade, Sunday School, Exercise Classes and a range of Community Activities.
The Church grew exponentially and began meeting at the Thornleigh West Public School whilst the new auditorium was being built.
The building was completed in 1999 and since that time the Lord has been gracious and have seen the church continue to grow and expand. With growing needs and ministries of the church there has been the need to purchase a number of new properties to support our vision of seeing more people, in more places, making more responses to Jesus.
At every stage Baptist Financial Services have been incredibly helpful and supportive in partnering with us to fulfil God’s vision for our church. They have been wise in their counsel, supportive and understanding of us as a church and have gone over and beyond in offering assistance and advice.
